Mitchell Frank

Mitchell's name has become synonymous with success in the tennis world. He has experience at every level, including competing in all the grand slams as a junior and the men's US Open twice as a pro. In addition, he is one of the most decorated tennis players in NCAA history, winning six National Championships and being ranked #1 in the country as a Freshman. In addition, he provided the clinching point in all three of the team National titles UVA won during his time in Charlottesville.

While his playing achievements are extensive, his mind for the game has always been his greatest asset. In his coaching career, he has taken a player from being unranked to playing Division III tennis at Mary Washington in under 6 months and is currently working with many players top 150 in the nation, including many players in the top 50. He has helped professional players and top ITF players reach their maximal potential as well. Mitchell believes in an intensely focused training environment where players learn to push their limits and develop their skills with a “need” to improve. He looks forward to helping all the players he comes in contact with develop a passion for the game and take their games to the next level. He also believes in providing full mentorship to his players, meaning they feel supported on and off the court!

  • Finalist of Boys 18s Kalamazoo National Champions and 16s Orange Bowl World Championships.

  • Boys 14s National Clay Court Champion and ranked #1 in the country

  • #1 Ranked College Player in the country as a freshman.

  • Clinched 2013 and 2015 NCAA Men’s National Championships for UVA 

  • Winner of 2011 and 2013 All-American and 2011 National Indoor Singles Championships (only freshman in NCAA history to accomplish this and 1 of 4 college players all-time)

  • Hitting partner for Roger Federer at the 2010 US Open, Sam Querrey in 2011, and Sloane Stephens in 2012.

  • Competed in 2011 and 2014 US Open Men’s Tournament. Win over former top 60 player Kenny De Schepper in the 2011 US Open.

  • Career High Ranking of 503 ATP Singles and 2014 two-time ITF Futures Singles Winner

Andrew Watson

Andrew began playing tennis at the age of 10 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He grew up surrounded by UVA tennis and became one of the top players in the Mid-Atlantic in the 12-and-under. At the age of 12, Andrew quit tennis to focus on other sports such as baseball and wrestling. During his junior year in high school, Andrew picked up tennis again and met Mitchell Frank shortly after. Andrew went from being a non-rated player to being recruited to play tennis at the University of Mary Washington (Ranked Among the Top 20 in the nation for Division 3). During his time at Mary Washington, Andrew became a Division 3 All-American and an NCAA semifinalist, and posted wins over George Mason, James Madison, and many of the top teams in Division 3.

Andrew has been coaching tennis for the last 5 years. He started his coaching career by working with underprivileged kids in the Charlottesville area. Andrew has served as a mentor to many kids at the Mitchell Frank Tennis Academy over the last couple of years and began to work at the academy this past summer. During the summer, Andrew has worked with kids in the recreational and elite programs. With his work ethic, passion, care factor, and attention to detail, Andrew has become one of the top young coaches in the nation.

Anton Kovrigin

Anton Kovrigin is a former Division I tennis player at Vanderbilt University, where he competed in the SEC on a full athletic scholarship. During his junior career, Anton was ranked No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic in the 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s divisions, won two USTA Gold Balls at the National Championships, and reached as high as the Top 20 in the Boys’ 18s.

At Vanderbilt, Anton played singles positions 2 through 6 and competed at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions against some of the nation's top collegiate players.

Anton’s coaching experience includes working privately with junior players, coaching at Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, and coaching at Columbia Country Club. He was also mentored by respected coach Vesa Ponkka and has worked with top competitive junior players.

Anton is passionate about helping players of all ages and levels improve their technique, footwork, consistency, strategy, and confidence on the court. Drawing from his high-level competitive and coaching background, he emphasizes strong fundamentals, disciplined movement, mental toughness, and a positive training environment while helping players develop both technically and mentally.
